Strength, flexibility and control are key skills when it comes to acrobatics. Pro Arté puts extensive emphasis on technique, stretching as well as conditioning. Acrobatics allows the dancer to safely learn tricks which they can perform on stage.
How do I start?
Our Acro dance classes combine technique, precision and gymnastics. Classes begin with a warm up, moving onto elements that focus balancing, limbering and tumbling, whilst working to use control, strength and flexibility in all tricks. We encourage anyone who is taking Acrobatics to consider taking a ballet, Jazz or Contemporary class to increase their technique. Pro Arté are immensely proud to offer certified Acro teachers, who are passionate to keep up to date with the latest and safest practices for our children.
Our Acro classes range from 45 minutes to an hour and a half in length. Classes run from September to the end of the year in June where the class participates in the year end show.
Acro classes require; fitted clothing (leotard, shorts or leggings). Dancers that participate in this class will need to wear a classical low bun or any style that keeps the hair out of their face.
