Do you want to explore your creativity?

Are you looking for an opportunity to explore your passion for dance?

Is the opportunity to perform exciting?

Then the 2021 Spring Choreography Intensive is what you’re looking for!

Monday, March 22 to Friday, March 26

Join the faculty at Pro Arte Dance for one week of intensive choreography in ballet, contemporary and jazz that will culminate in a video performance of repertoire from a well-known ballet and contemporary work in European styles.  Connected across all levels, dancers and parents alike will be able to safely share this performance with friends and family world-wide.  During a time that we are all isolated from those that we care about, sharing dance in this way is a fabulous way to remain connected over distances — whether in the same city or across the country. In addition, students will be provided “on demand” links for the repertoire learned during the session which will remain available after the session so that the choreography can remain accessible even after the Intensive has concluded.  We encourage dancers to be in the studio to take full advantage of the experience but, for those who are not able to, classes will be offered by Zoom as well.

For those students wishing to gain solo repertoire experience, an optional solo class will be offered at the end of each day.  These solos will be included in the show video that concludes the week, with costumes, of the choreography developed during the week.

The ballet “Coppelia” has been selected for choreography in Ballet.  This comic ballet is one that is full of exciting dance pieces set to great music enjoyed by all ages.  Contemporary and Jazz will feature choreography illustrating the four elements – “Fire, Water, Earth and Air.”

For those who would like – there are optional solo opportunities – ask us for more information if this is of interest to you.
